My name is Jennifer Bullard, and I founded Small Great Things in 2021. As a wife and a mother of two boys, I’ve always been mindful of the environment we create within our home. My "happy place" has always been in my garden, tending to my plants and breathing in the fresh air—it’s where I find my inspiration and where my love for flowers and botanicals, especially Lavender, took root.
I believe that the items we bring into our homes and put on our bodies should be intentional, supportive, and honest—as beautiful as they are kind to the earth. From a single hand-poured candle to a soothing jar of balm, every piece is a testament to the idea that small, mindful choices lead to a greater, more vibrant life.
My journey began with a simple mission: to create a cleaner, more intentional candle. Driven by my lifelong love for vintage decor and furniture, I knew I didn't want to use generic, mass-produced jars.
I specialize in repurposed vessels and vintage glassware, turning forgotten treasures into one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Using 100% natural soy wax and cotton wicks, these candles are designed to be a clean-burning part of your home.
Over the last 5 years, my line of products has grown to include wax melts, diffusers, room sprays and fire starters.
In 2025, as my passion for natural ingredients grew, I developed Nourish—a line of small-batch skincare products made with natural ingredients to soothe, relieve and support your mind and body.
Crafted in small batches in my La Plata studio, every salve, cream, and serum is made with the same "Small Great Things"
philosophy. You’ll find the lavender flower—my favorite essential oil—featured prominently in our logo as a symbol of the calm and restoration we hope to bring to your daily routine.
